Reducing our Carbon Footprint

  • by Ricardo Martinez

Planting a tree to reduce our carbon emissions for each purchase!

I have been keeping up to date with the tropical storms that are happening and I find it so hard to see that a double hurricane system has formed and about to slam into the US.  Just like how our bodies give us warning signs that there is something wrong with it, I believe that it is the same with our planet.  The frequency of systems and their intensity is one of those signs that the Earth is not well.

At Moondream Eclipse apparel we realize that shipping items around the world increases the carbon foot print of our Earth and have a few initiatives in place to ensure that we reduce that foot print:

  • All garments are printed with inks that are eco-friendly.
  • Printing facility in Latvia is used for our European orders to ensure that our packages travel shorter distances.
  • A partnership has been formed with Ecologi and the Eden Reforestation Project to plant a tree for each purchase at Moondream Eclipse Apparel.

Each purchase will plant a tree in Madagascar to support the planet and reduce our Carbon foot print for the packages we ship!

Together with the Eden Projects you will plant a tree for each purchase made.  Check out their web page here.

Your funds support the non-profit Eden Reforestation Projects as they continue to reforest the island. Eden are world leaders in responsible reforestation, having already planted 265 million trees and created 2.6 million work days for local communities.

This fellowship is exciting since it warms my heart that we are doing good for the earth.  Planting one tree not only helps our ecosystem but also employs the locals and puts food in their family's table.

If you made it this far, we thank you!  Keep checking our company forest to see how we are growing!

See our Forest!

Please stay safe and positive, continue to give love to each other and pick up the phone to get a hold of that one person you've been meaning to call.  It might just save them.
